Standards our design and delivery align to
01 — The constraint
The grid is not short of capital. It is short of delivery.
Federal and state programmes, utility capital plans and data-centre demand have put more money behind the network than at any point in a generation. The bottleneck has moved downstream — to equipment, engineering and construction capacity.
Aging assets
Transformers, breakers, substations and lines across much of the network are decades old and approaching end of life.
Load growth
Data centres, EV charging, electrification and reshored manufacturing have ended nearly two decades of flat demand.
Lead times
Quoted lead times on power transformers, switchgear and breakers have stretched well past a year in many categories.
Fragmented delivery
OEMs, distributors, engineers, contractors and O&M providers all contract separately. The owner absorbs the interface risk.
Labour shortage
Experienced engineers, linemen and commissioning specialists are retiring faster than they are being replaced.
Interconnection queues
Renewable and storage developers need substations, tie-ins and BOP packages fast, and many have no in-house capability.
02 — Capabilities
Eight capabilities. One contract.
A typical project puts five or six suppliers between the owner and the asset. We consolidate them — which removes the interfaces where schedule and accountability usually go missing.
01
Global Sourcing & Procurement
Direct relationships with manufacturers in Asia, Europe and the Americas — benchmarked on total landed cost, not the ex-works number.
Explore02
Distribution Solutions
Distribution is the largest and most continuous line in a utility capital plan. We cover it end to end — stock, design, build and storm response.
Explore03
Refurbishment & Life Extension
Most aging transformers and switchgear are structurally sound. Restoring and retrofitting them defers capital and beats new-build lead times.
Explore04
Engineering Services
Conceptual through detailed design for substations and lines, with licensed US Professional Engineers signing off the deliverables.
Explore05
Construction & EPC
EPC and EPCM execution across civil, electrical and mechanical scopes — through to testing, commissioning and energisation.
Explore06
O&M & Field Services
Long-term maintenance, diagnostics and spares management that keep the asset available — and keep our incentives tied to its performance.
Explore07
EPC-to-EPC Support
Capacity on demand for contractors who have won more work than their teams can execute. Your contract, your client, our bench.
Explore08
Digital & Asset Intelligence
Real-time visibility of every purchase order, milestone and monitored asset — so schedule risk surfaces early enough to act on.
Explore03 — How we work
From spec to service. One point of contact.
The same team carries a package from specification through to the maintenance programme. Nothing is handed across a commercial boundary halfway through.
01
Specification & scope
Ratings, standards, site constraints and utility-specific requirements captured once, by people who will stay on the job.
02
Engineering review
Single-lines, studies and protection philosophy reviewed by licensed Professional Engineers before anything is priced.
03
Sourcing & benchmarking
The package goes out to vetted manufacturers across Asia, Europe and the Americas — never to a single source.
04
Total landed cost
Price, freight, duty, tariff exposure, warranty and delivery date compared together, with domestic-content options screened.
05
Manufacturing & QA
Production slot secured, supplier audits run, factory acceptance tests witnessed and third-party inspection arranged.
06
Logistics & delivery
Export documentation, customs clearance, heavy-haul planning, site delivery and interim storage.
07
Construction & commissioning
Civil, electrical and mechanical works, pre-commissioning checks, energisation and documented handover.
08
Operations & support
Maintenance programmes, diagnostics, spares pooling, emergency response and warranty administration.
04 — Where we sit
Every route to market leaves a gap.
Buyers already have OEMs, distributors, large contractors and local repair shops. Each is good at something. The gap is the package that needs more than one of them.
| Route to market | Where it works | Where it leaves a gap |
|---|---|---|
| Global OEM | Deep product engineering and a strong factory warranty on its own catalogue. | Single-brand. Premium pricing, and your position in the production queue governs the delivery date. |
| National distributor | Fast quoting and stock availability on commodity and repeat items. | Reseller margin stacks up. No engineering, no field execution, no refurbishment path. |
| Large EPC contractor | Capacity and bonding for mega-projects and multi-year utility programmes. | Overhead and minimum project size push small and mid-size packages out of scope. |
| Regional repair shop | Low cost and quick turnaround on a single asset in its own territory. | Limited scope, geography and engineering depth. No procurement leverage. |
| Blitz Energy | Multi-brand sourcing, refurbishment, engineering and field execution under one contract, sized for the packages the majors skip. | We are a new entrant. We build credibility through partner firms, subcontract execution and references you can verify — not through claims. |
Comparison describes typical market behaviour and is offered as positioning, not as a claim about any named company.
05 — Markets
Generation, transmission, distribution.
The same sourcing, engineering and execution model applies across all three — which is why a single relationship can cover a plant retrofit, an interconnection and a feeder-hardening programme.
Power generation
- Solar, wind and battery storage balance of plant
- Gas, hydro and thermal plant retrofits
- Generator step-up and auxiliary transformers
- Protection, control and SCADA integration
Power transmission
- EHV and HV substations, GIS and AIS
- Transmission lines, upgrades and reconductoring
- Interconnection facilities and tie-ins
- Shunt and series reactors to 765 kV class
Power distribution
- Distribution substations at 34.5 kV and below
- Feeder upgrades, hardening and undergrounding
- Reclosers, regulators, RMUs and MV switchgear
- Vendor-managed inventory and storm response
06 — Standards
Compliance is the entry ticket, not the differentiator.
Design and delivery align to the codes below, plus client-specific utility construction standards. Refurbishment and commissioning follow NETA-aligned acceptance testing, and environmental handling — including PCB-containing oil and waste — follows EPA requirements.
07 — Questions
The questions buyers actually ask.
Most will not, on day one — and we do not pretend otherwise. Utility prequalification takes time, safety history and bonding capacity to earn.
So we start where a new entrant can be genuinely useful: factory-direct equipment supply, refurbishment of assets the owner already has, and white-label capacity for EPC contractors who are oversubscribed. Those engagements are lower risk for the buyer, and they build the safety record, references and vendor registrations that open the rest.
A typical integrator buys through layers of distributors and resellers. Each layer adds margin, adds a hand-off, and adds time.
We work directly with the manufacturers. That gives three things a reseller cannot: real visibility of the production schedule, the ability to pool demand across projects for buying power, and the option to benchmark the same package across several regions before committing.
IEEE, ANSI, NERC, NESC and NEC as the baseline, plus the client utility’s own construction and acceptance standards. Refurbishment and field testing follow NETA-aligned acceptance criteria. Equipment is specified to UL and IEC conformity where the application calls for it.
Design deliverables are reviewed and sealed by licensed US Professional Engineers.
They are priced into the decision rather than discovered after it. Every sourcing recommendation carries a total landed cost — ex-works price, freight, duty, tariff exposure, warranty terms and delivery date — alongside a domestic-content assessment where the project is subject to Buy America or similar requirements.
Where a package has to be domestically sourced, we say so before you commit, not afterwards.
When the core and tank are sound, the duty has not changed materially, and the schedule matters. A refurbished transformer or retrofitted breaker typically returns to service in weeks to months rather than a year or more, at a materially lower cost than replacement, and with modern protection and monitoring added.
When the asset is genuinely at end of life or the rating no longer fits the load, we will tell you to buy new.
Not on the work we support. Under our EPC-to-EPC service we sit behind your contract, under your brand, on the scope you define — estimation, drafting, procurement, project controls, commissioning or manpower. The client relationship stays yours.
Voltage class, MVA or ampere rating, quantity, applicable standards, and the date it has to be on site. Anything else — single-lines, specifications, site constraints — sharpens the number but is not needed to start.
Budgetary pricing comes back within five business days.
