Home/About

One platform, one contract, one accountable team.

The energy transition and grid expansion will not be limited by capital or by demand. They will be limited by the ability to deliver equipment, engineering and construction on time. That is the constraint Blitz Energy was built to solve.

01 — Vision

The trusted integrated partner for energy infrastructure in North America.

A typical grid project puts five or six suppliers between the owner and the asset: an OEM, a distributor, an engineering firm, an EPC contractor, an O&M provider. Every boundary between them is a contract, an interface and a place for the schedule to go missing.

We connect every link in that chain — from the smallest component to the largest substation — so that utilities and developers can build and run the grid faster, more safely and at lower cost.

Utilities and EPC companies do not need another vendor. They need a partner who can source better, fix what they already own, and add capacity when they are overloaded.

02 — The model

What makes the economics work.

01

One accountable partner

A single contract replaces five or six. Fewer interfaces, fewer hand-offs, and one organisation that cannot point at another one when a date slips.

02

Direct supply chain access

A vetted, diversified manufacturer network across three regions, combined with US-based partners and warehousing, shortens lead times and removes dependence on any single source.

03

Full lifecycle capability

We stay with the asset from design through O&M. That aligns our incentives with how it performs over twenty years, not just with how it was invoiced.

04

Hybrid delivery

US-based project leadership, PE sign-off and compliance, supported by a global engineering and procurement bench. Better cost and faster turnaround without moving the standards.

05

Refurbishment as a first option

Because we can restore an asset as readily as replace it, the recommendation is driven by the condition data rather than by what happens to be on the price list.

06

Deep EPC heritage

Leadership experience in EHV substations, GIS, transmission and complex electro-mechanical systems — so execution risk is understood, not just sold around.

03 — Capability

The bench we are building.

These are the disciplines the delivery model requires. Named appointments are published as they are confirmed.

01

Senior EPC leadership

EHV, GIS and transmission execution experience — people who have carried the schedule and commercial risk on substation work before.

02

Supply chain & sourcing

Specialists with direct manufacturer relationships across Asia, Europe and the Americas, and the trade-compliance knowledge that goes with them.

03

Licensed Professional Engineers

US PEs for design review and sign-off, covering substation, protection and control, and system studies disciplines.

04

Project management & controls

Planning, cost control, document management and reporting capability sized to the contracts we take on.

05

HSE & quality

Independent safety and quality leadership, reporting outside the delivery line, from the first self-perform scope.

06

Bid, estimation & contracts

Estimating, contract administration and claims capability — the difference between winning work and winning work profitably.

04 — Standards & quality

Compliance is the entry ticket.

Design and delivery align to IEEE, ANSI, NERC, NESC and NEC requirements and to client-specific utility construction standards. Field testing and refurbishment follow NETA-aligned acceptance criteria. Environmental handling, including PCB-containing oil, waste streams and SF6, follows EPA requirements.

Safety performance is tracked and reported from the first project, because utility and industrial clients screen on it before they screen on price.

Quality in practice

Inspection and test plans with defined hold and witness points. Independent QA/QC reporting outside the delivery line. Supplier audits and witnessed factory acceptance testing before shipment. Full records retained and handed over with the asset.

05 — Roadmap

Sequenced, not promised all at once.

Sourcing, refurbishment and EPC-to-EPC support are capital-light and fast to stand up. They fund the construction and O&M capability that builds scale and recurring revenue.

Phase 1

Foundation

Launch the capital-light services: factory-direct sourcing, EPC-to-EPC support and engineering. Sign manufacturer agreements, begin utility vendor registration, start refurbishment through partner shops, and build a pilot portfolio with three to five anchor clients.

Phase 2

Capability & recurring revenue

Add distribution programmes and vendor-managed inventory. Establish a US refurbishment and testing facility or a strategic equivalent. Begin field services, O&M and subcontract construction. Set up regional warehousing for critical spares.

Phase 3

Scale

Deliver turnkey substation and transmission EPC. Expand refurbishment capacity and geographic coverage. Pursue selective acquisition of regional contractors, engineering firms and service companies.

06 — Candour

Where we are today.

We are an early-stage company. Saying so is not a weakness in this market — it is the first thing a serious buyer will establish anyway, and how a supplier handles it says more than a capability statement does.

What that means in practice. We lead with the scopes where a new entrant can be genuinely useful and low-risk to engage: factory-direct equipment supply, refurbishment of assets you already own, engineering deliverables under PE sign-off, and white-label capacity for contractors who are oversubscribed.

Larger construction scopes are taken on through subcontract, joint venture or consortium with established US contractors until our own prequalification, bonding capacity and safety history stand on their own. We will tell you which of those applies to your package before you ask.

RiskHow it is managed
New entrant credibilityPartner with established US firms, bring in experienced leadership and advisers, and build verifiable references through subcontract work before bidding principal scopes.
Prequalification barriersInvest early in safety performance (EMR/TRIR), insurance, surety bonding capacity and utility vendor registrations rather than treating them as a later problem.
Tariffs & trade policyDiversified sourcing across regions, domestic partner options, and Buy America-compliant routes priced alongside every import package.
Working capital intensityStaged growth, supplier credit terms, milestone billing and specialised trade finance, with the capital-light services funding the capital-heavy ones.
Execution risk on large EPCStart with smaller, well-defined scopes; use joint venture and consortium structures on larger ones; grow self-perform capacity behind demonstrated delivery.
Environmental & regulatoryLicensed partners for regulated handling — PCB-containing oil, SF6, waste streams — while in-house capability and permitting are built.
